Sandyston Walpack Consolidated School and Kittatinny Regional High School receive a special form of federal funding called Section 8002 Federal Impact Aid due to the amount of federal land located within the school district. The federal administration has sent Congress a budget that eliminates Section 8002 Federal Impact Aid funding - this would be devestating to our community.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, the Township Committee passed a resolution " R-31-2015 Seeking Reinstatement of Section 8002 Federal Impact Aid Funding" along with a letter to our Congressional Representatives and local State Legislators. We are asking help from the community in contacting these representatives in writing letters in support of reinstating this funding. We have prepared a sample letter below which you may use as a guide. Thank you for your help.
